This presentation explores the application of Dream Psychotherapy© as an intervention for women aged 22-50 diagnosed with Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) in California and Oregon.
The proposed therapy aims to improve sleep quality, reduce physiological pain, and enhance psychological functioning by addressing symptoms such as distressing dreams and sleep disturbances commonly associated with ASD.
The therapeutic process, spanning over five weeks, includes psychosomatic interventions, dream rescripting, and self-care strategies to foster emotional regulation and resilience.
The program emphasizes the importance of clinician-patient psychosomatic alignment to achieve therapeutic outcomes, highlighting a novel approach to mitigating the effects of acute trauma through dream analysis and structured psychotherapeutic sessions.
